New Product Update: Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single sign-on (SSO) is no stranger to the average enterprise. It’s an the best way to avoid repeated log-ins when accessing corporate network resources, typically on the web. It’s also the primary standard that keeps IT teams in control of employee credentials. But what happens when your employees need the seamless experience of SSO on their devices? All too often, SSO is simply “not an option” for mobile apps, leaving end users with a broken experience and IT teams with a gaping security hole.

That is, until now.

The launch of SSO

We’re excited to announce the launch of SSO in our native mobile app. Before this product launch, employees could already use Inkling’s mobile apps to access curated content online, offline, or on the go. To login, they would enter a username and password. With these new changes, employees can now instead login with the SSO and the same company credentials they are used to using everywhere else —no need for additional usernames or passwords. Employee access is managed centrally, providing an easier and more scalable process for IT teams to manage new or departing employees.

SSO in action

A perfect example: our retail customer is using SSO to ensure their store associates could move from their corporate intranet to the mobile app (powered by Inkling) without having to log-in repeatedly. With Inkling, they’re able to stay informed, get answers, and do their job all without unnecessary delays.

We’ve worked hard to ensure that the Inkling platform easily integrates with existing systems. SSO is the latest milestone in this effort, empowering employees to quickly access content using the login they are already familiar with.
