Inkling Scores 10 Brand-Name Customers for Innovative, Feature-Rich Mobile Learning and Collaboration Platform

New Executive Team Drives Product Roadmap to Fuel Continued Expansion into New Markets, Including Entertainment, Financial Services, Health and Fitness, Insurance and Non-Profits.

SAN FRANCISCO — February 12, 2019 Inkling Systems, Inc. (“Inkling”), a mobile learning enablement platform for frontline employees, is gaining strong momentum with the recent addition of 10 major brand-name companies to its growing client roster as it continues to expand beyond traditional restaurant and retail users into new markets that include entertainment, financial services, health and fitness, insurance and non-profits.

“Inkling is fundamentally changing the way employees learn, giving them the type of on-the-job training they crave: bite-sized learning and media-rich content when and where they need it, via mobile devices that are a part of their everyday lives,” said Inkling CEO Jeff Carr. “The dramatic and immediate impact of the Inkling platform on both employee and customer experiences illustrates how this type of training solution can be applied in virtually any industry, where staying current on knowledge, delivering a consistent experience and improving job satisfaction is of paramount importance.”

National Brands Select Inkling

Among the major brands to deploy Inkling in 2018 are Hikvision, Horace Mann, Orange Theory Fitness and Vera Bradley.

“We provide extensive technical and hands-on training for our sales support team leaders from all 12 regions in which Hikvision USA operates. But we found that traditional webinars and static content were not as effective as they needed to be,” said Jason Morgan, senior manager, Learning and Development at Hikvision USA. “The Inkling platform enables us to quickly update and deliver new content, while combining interactive learning with doing. This approach empowers our teams with consistent access to searchable content on mobile devices, allowing them to learn at their own pace.”

Existing Customers Expand Deployments

Additionally, more than half of Inkling’s existing customers expanded their use of the platform last year. “As we gear up for tax season, keeping our employees up-to-date on the latest changes is imperative to ensure they’re able to complete the returns for our clients,” said Steve Guidroz, Vice President of Learning & Development at H&R Block. “By expanding our use of Inkling, we are able to quickly create and distribute content to our entire staff – both H&R Block associates and 25,000 external Income Tax Course students.”

All totaled, year-over-year, Inkling experienced a 33 percent increase in the number of users and a 100 percent increase in the number of pages viewed in our system with more than 1 million people logging in to view content at any one time. Customers using Inkling for sales enablement saw their new employees increase quota attainment, in some cases to as much as 71 percent in their first six months on the job. Additionally, call center reps who relied on Inkling for training and onboarding increased their overall sales by 117 percent.

Award-Winning Product Line Enhanced with New Features, Capabilities

Inkling’s end-to-end mobile-first learning enablement platform – which is comprised of Inkling Knowledge, Inkling Collaboration and Inkling Advanced Reporting & Analytics – garnered numerous industry accolades during the past year.

  • Brandon Hall recently awarded Inkling a Gold Award for Best Mobile Learning and a Silver Award for Best Learning Content Platform.

  • G2 Crowd named Inkling a leader in the Knowledge Management Category, having received a 4.3 out of 5 star rating resulting from the customer praise of the platform’s ease of use and responsive support they receive from the Inking team.

  • Training industry named Inkling one of the Top Training Delivery Companies in 2018.

Inkling continues to make investments in its platform, adding new features and capabilities, such as Notices and Audiences. Notices enables organizations to provide timely updates to the field. Training updates, project announcements and critical information are efficiently delivered and then tracked with an analytics dashboard to determine field engagement. Audiences improves an organization’s ability to manage and understand content distribution at scale. Administrators are able to easily save and reuse distribution rules across multiple pieces of content, with full visibility into which people in an organization have access to content.

In the near future, Inkling plans to release a new training module, which offers an easy-to-use tool focused on improving learner and onboarding experiences.

Leadership to Build on Momentum

Under the direction of Carr, who was named CEO in November 2018, Inkling plans to continue evolving its product roadmap to address the market demand for digital learning solutions globally and across a wide range of industry sectors.

“Jeff Carr has assumed the helm at a critical phase in Inkling’s growth, as they continue their journey of being an innovative and disruptive force in the modern learning industry,” said Jim Lundy, CEO and founder, Aragon Research. “The Corporate Learning market is experiencing a huge surge in demand as enterprises look to push their LMS aside and deploy new Modern Learning platforms, such as Inkling, that deliver digital content on demand.”

Joining Carr in this market and product expansion are a recently appointed executive team that includes Will Johnson as CFO; John Crowther as Vice President, Product; and Ariel Zach as Vice President, Engineering.

Inkling also extended its leadership into the community through several service projects, including supporting victims of the Napa fires, as well as working with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank and Project Glimmer. Additionally, during the 2018 election season, Inkling partnered with TurboVote to help America reach 80 percent voter turnout by 2024 through a number of initiatives to raise awareness about voter registration deadlines and ballot issues.
