Where are you from?

Seattle, WA

Why did you join Inkling?

I joined Inkling because I was excited to work at an innovative company with a mission to make the world a smarter place. Plus, having lugged my fair share of books across campus, creating digital textbooks was immediately interesting. After joining Inkling, I found an amazing group of people who work tirelessly to bring this mission to life–that’s what keeps me excited to be a part of this great company.

What do you do?

I lead our demand generation efforts, which broadly means building awareness around Inkling and generating leads for our sales team through advertising and engagement programs.

What has been your proudest moment at Inkling?

My proudest moment at Inkling was successfully implementing our demand generation programs from scratch. In under 30 days we were able to implement our marketing automation solution, Marketo, and begin generating and nurturing leads. This was a hands-on project that required a lot of critical thinking and collaboration so we could start from a solid foundation. With our foundation in place, we’ve been able to focus on growing our customer base and educating prospects on the value of bringing their content to the cloud.

What do you do in your spare time?

Typically, I have more irons in the fire than I can handle, but some of my favorite pastimes are hiking with my husband and yellow lab, snowshoeing, skiing, travel, gardening, and woodworking.

What’s your favorite book?

It’s hard to pick my favorite book, but a book that is dear to my heart is The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. I love this book because it makes you think about what it means to be human and it gets bonus points for taking place in Seattle and being told from the point of view of a yellow lab–what more do you need?

What do you love about working at Inkling?

I love having the right tools and environment to do my best work. Specifically, Inkling is probably the most outcome-oriented place I’ve ever worked, which makes it easy to align with coworkers and get stuff done. And the people, they are all fun to work with, supportive, and super smart.
