Ask an Inkblot: Anthony DiSpezio, Content Designer

 0801ec5

Why did you join Inkling?

Before Inkling, I worked for a large organization researching apps for digital publishing. I tested a wide range of systems, grading them on their ability to produce high-fidelity digital content. During my research I became fascinated with digital content creation and decided to start applying to the companies on my list. Naturally, I started with #1—Inkling. Years later, I still come to work with the same excitement and energy, knowing that my educated decision to join this company was the right one.

What do you do?

I get to spend every day designing beautiful, functional content for our product and our clients. I use my skills as a front-end developer to help print designers apply their knowledge to digital content creation through HTML and CSS.Anthony DiSpezio

What has been your proudest moment at Inkling?

Recently, I led a design training with a team of print designers who had been tasked with designing their content in HTML and CSS. In just under two weeks they were not only creating beautiful content, but planning to replicate the trainings throughout their own teams. Above all else, I’m proudest when watching the designers on our clients’ teams succeed in creating effective digital content.

What do you do in your spare time?

When I’m not designing, I subsist on a strict diet of sunshine, playing music, surfing and watching cooking shows. I’ve lived in San Francisco for just over two years and have barely scratched the surface of things to do.HWsmYp51oRp0BWPd86hrEsxGZdwzyd-BnZW1jSuJAYs

What is your favorite literary quote?

“He’d pull me back into the center, and I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can’t see from the center.” He nodded, “Big, undreamed-of things—the people on the edge see them first.”

What do you love about working at Inkling?

First, each day brings new design challenges that require me to think critically and constantly evaluate my approaches. Second, there is no replacement for the people I work with. I am surrounded by brilliant, engaging people who I can trust and rely on both as coworkers and friends.
